Our goal is to have all associations schedule multiple “Try Hockey for Free” events throughout the season. USA Hockey's Try Hockey For Free Days are designed to provide youth hockey associations with a national platform to introduce new kids to the sport.
We do understand that the national platform will not work for everyone and you may need to customize an event to your needs. However we expect each association to host multiple “Try Hockey for Free Events." The purpose of try hockey events is to try to bring in new families and sign them up into a house like program or into your 8U program.
Need some ideas or support to get your try hockey event going? Check out this manual.
Parents can sign their child up for any event in the area.
